Finnish technology entrepreneur Jaakko Männistö has planned a unique golf journey that will take him through the Finnish summer. Männistö plans to play golf on 30 different courses over 30 days. The journey begins in Levi and ends in Åland, and its purpose is to explore and highlight Finnish golf culture.
“I am a technology entrepreneur and a passionate golfer for over 20 years. I want to learn what golf culture really means in the eyes of us Finns,” Männistö says.
Männistö plans to document his experiences and share them on social media channels and in his diary. He also plans to play golf with well-known and less-known Finnish golfers, delving into business and entrepreneurship at the same time.
All proceeds from the journey will be directed to support Finnish entrepreneurship and young golfers. The support will be directed to projects of the Finnish Golf Union’s junior activities and to a fund supporting junior activities under the Golf Development Foundation, operated by Mikko Ilonen and Minnea Blomqvist.
The journey will take place in July-August 2023, and during that time Männistö plans to test whether it is possible to travel nearly 3000 km comfortably and efficiently by electric car. The journey can be followed on the Entrepreneur Golf website, on social media, and on GameBook, where Männistö will update his game results.
“Join us in following this unique journey, you can can follow us through our daily journal or social media.” Männistö encourages.
